Patty Murray is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) dedicated to helping partners strengthen their connection and build healthier relationships. With a deep appreciation for how beautiful and difficult relationships can be, Patty brings a compassionate and direct focus to the work. Her enthusiasm and commitment to exploring human complexity led Patty to study Psychology at the University of New Mexico with a minor in Peace Studies and a Masters in Somatic Counseling Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies.
With a foundation in Somatic Practices, Patty uses bottom-up approaches to help regulate emotions and reach deeper healing. She is trained in Ellyn Bader Developmental Model Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Patty’s training emphasizes the importance of developmental stages in relationships, acknowledging that each stage brings unique challenges and opportunities for deeper connection and that change happens when we can gain more understanding, empathy, and emotional capacity for our own and our partners’ experiences. Drawing from multiple theories and models Patty guides couples through a journey of growth and understanding. We find new and healthy ways to navigate conflicts, enhance communication, and foster greater intimacy.
Patty strives to create a safe, nurturing space where couples can explore, understand, and heal. Whether you are facing communication struggles, trust issues, or simply seeking to deepen intimacy and connection in your relationship, Patty works to support you every step of the way.
